A very rare Giulio Nuciari #1 AC Milan goalkeeping shirt from 1983/84 Serie A season. Giulio Nuciari was originally bought by AC Milan as a back up goalkeeper. He played more games in his first seasons of 1982/83 and 1983/84, than his later AC Milan career stretching from 1982-1988. This rare third goalkeeping kit was used by Giulio Nuciari in one of his 12 games played for AC Milan in the 1983/84 season. The exact game is unknown, but he played 5 Serie A games and 7 Coppa Italia games for AC Milan that season. He made 28 appearances in total for AC Milan.
This shirt is a very rare Milan goalkeeping shirt, as it is AC Milan goalkeeping third kit. In 1983/84 season not many clubs had more than one shirts per season. Only ever for special occasion games like cup finals etc. Therefore they’d often re-use the same shirts for many games in a season. As this is the goalkeeper third kit only worn by Giulio Nuciari, it is very unlikely that there will be a shirt out there like it. It is a very special and rare shirt for collectors!
