Tsimikas joined Liverpool during the Summer of 2020 as a back-up option for Andrew Robertson on left back. Though his opportunities for game time have been limited, he has proven himself to be a player whom Jürgen Klopp can trust.
His highlight so far in a Liverpool shirt was scoring the deciding penalty in the 2022 FA Cup final against Chelsea. That same season he was also vital in securing Liverpool’s spot in the Champions League semi-finals when he assisted two of Liverpool’s goals in a 3-3 game against Benfica.
On the international stage, Tsimikas has made more than 20 appearances for the Greek national team. The Greeks are currently on their way back after some rough years after their triumph at the 2004 Euros. Tsimikas is of course one of the biggest stars on the Greek national team and will play an important role for his country in the years to come.
