By the time Paolo Maldini called quits on his career with the national team, he had accomplished a 2nd place at the 2000 Euros and a 3rd place at the 1994 World Cup.
As mentioned Maldini is also fondly remembered for his career with AC Milan. His father Cesare was also a Milan legend playing more than 400 games for the club. Paolo Maldini won seven league titles, five European Cup/Champions League, one Coppa Italia, five UEFA Super Cups and many more trophies with Milan.
