Matchworn Red Star Belgrade #4 Friendly Tournament 1989/90

Bid and win a matchworn Red Star Belgrade #4 shirt from a friendly summer tournament game from 1989/90 season. The player actually wearing this shirt #4 has not been possible to identify and there is a funny story attached to that information. Red Star Belgrade took part in a friendly summer tournament in May 1990 and played Atletico Madrid amongst other teams. In the game vs Atletico Madrid the referee asked Red Star Belgrade to play in their away kit as both kits were red and white but Red Star Belgrade had only brought their red and white home kit to the tournament and therefore borrowed Atletico Madrid’s blue away kit, which seems strange as Atletico Madrid could just have worn that. (See photos)

The Red Star Belgrade player wearing #4 shirt (believed to be either Goran Juric, Slobodan Marovic, Vlada Stosic or Miodrag Belodedic) swapped his normal Red Star Belgrade red and white home kit with the Atletico Madrid players after the final whistle. The red and white home shirts had been worn against the other tournament opponents.

Shirt features and condition:

  • Matchworn Red Star Belgrade #4 shirt, used in a friendly tournament May 1990
  • Red Star Belgrade home shirt, short sleeves
  • Red Star Belgrade crest on left chest
  • Puma shirt make
  • Shirt #4
  • Correct neck label ’56’
