Juventus and Liverpool also met later in the 1984/85 season in the European Cup Final. Juventus won 1-0 and lifted the European Cup for the first time. The tie was overshadowed by the tragic events that took place before kick off when a wall collapsed and 39 people were killed and hundreds injured.
