Roberto Donadoni began his career with Atalanta in the early 80s. In 1986 he made the move to AC Milan, where he stayed for 10 years. During these years he was part of a highly succesful Milan side. He won the league five times and the Champions League three times. Durning this time he played with stars such as Paolo Maldini, Franco Baresi, and Marco van Basten.
In 1996 he switched to American team MetroStars before returning to Milan the following year. Donadoni managed to win another Serie A title brining his total up to six. He ended his playing career with Saudi club Al-Ittihad. Donadoni made 390 appearances across his to stints with Milan and scored 23 goals for them.
Donadoni would go on to have a prolific career as a manager. He managed teams such as Napoli, Parma, and the Italian national team. Donadoni was sacked as Italy manager after a defeat to Spain in the quarterfinals of the 2008 Euros. His latest job as a coached was for Chinese side Shenzhen, where he coached from 2019 to 2020.
